Addiction and Substance Use Services
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is viewed on a continuum; of mild, moderate to severe use. Spring River Mental Health and Wellness, Inc. treatment providers assist in developing a plan of care that works best for you and your specific needs.
Substance use oftentimes begins in an attempt to deal with mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, or past traumas. Spring River Mental Health and Wellness, Inc. offers Substance Use Counseling and Mental Health Services to help you deal with both of these issues.
Substance use treatment sessions are delivered individually, with family, as a couple, or in group.

• Marijuana PCP, LSD and other hallucinogens
• Inhalants Opioid pain killers
• Sedatives, hypnotics and anxiolytics
• Cocaine, methamphetamine and other stimulants
• Tobacco
• To feel good – feeling of pleasure, “high” To feel better – e.g., relieve stress

• Recreationally or socially with friends
• Self-medication
• Prescription drugs – these can lead to addiction issues due to issues of tolerance and dependence, prescription drugs create a high risk for abuse

• SB 123 Court-Ordered Individual and Group

Tobacco Use Treatment
Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. has Tobacco Treatment Specialists who are trained to provide evidence-based treatment for individuals who use tobacco and are interested in how to reduce their use or quit. Services include:
• Assessment of your treatment needs.
• Work together to identify your goals.
• Support you in finding your reason to quit and work with you on a plan.
• Provide health education and follow up.
• Share resources to help you in your goal to stop or reduce usage of smoking, vaping, chewing, or other tobacco products.
While in recovery it is common for people to use tobacco. Tobacco is a substance that creates long-term health problems, including deaths and illnesses. Quitting tobacco improves long-term recovery chances.
Learn about how tobacco use can affect your overall health and mental health. Your treatment team will help you develop a plan to keep you motivated!
